Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Planning professional to manage planning functions for products supplied in Malaysia. You will support Team Leaders and Sales on production control, lead times, and stock availability to meet customer due dates.

The role requires a Diploma and 4+ years in computerized planning systems (e.g., SAP), with strong capacity planning and cost estimation experience. Supplier/sub-contractor negotiation will be essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma level education required.
• 4+ years in computerized planning systems (e.g., SAP).
• Experience in capacity planning and production control.
• Experience in cost estimation.
• Experience negotiating supplier/sub-contractor terms.

Responsibilities

• Create Bills of Materials, Process Routings and Work Orders.
• Supplier and sub-contractor selection and commercial negotiation.
• Plan production Work Orders with the aim of achieving customer due dates.
• Maintain and improve accuracy of MRP planning system.
• Monitor workload and liaise with Team Leaders to ensure work is completed on time.
• Coordinate and supervise sub-contract work as required.
• Coordinate customer priorities with Team Leaders on deliveries.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Search for lower cost alternative suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepare lead time reports for sales when requested.

About the role

This position is responsible for production planning functions associated with products supplied through, and/or manufactured in Malaysia. It also provides planning and technical support to Team Leaders and Sales staff on production control, lead times and stock availability.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma Education level
• 4+ years' experience in computerized planning systems such as SAP or similar

• Cost estimating experience
