Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to manage planning functions for Malaysia-supplied or manufactured products. You will support Team Leaders and Sales on production control, lead times and stock availability.

The role requires a Diploma or higher and 4+ years in computerized planning systems (SAP or similar), with strong capacity planning, production control, cost estimation and supplier negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma Education level.
• 4+ years' experience in computerized planning systems such as SAP or similar.
• Capacity planning and production control.
• Cost estimating experience.
• Negotiating supplier/sub-contractor terms.

Responsibilities

• Create Bills of Materials, Process Routings and Work Orders.
• Supplier and sub-contractor selection and commercial negotiation.
• Plan production Work Orders with the aim of achieving customer due dates.
• Maintain and improve accuracy of MRP planning system.
• Monitor workload and liaise with Team Leaders to ensure work is completed on time.
• Coordinate and supervise sub-contract work as required.
• Coordinate customer priorities with Team Leaders on deliveries.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Search for lower cost alternative suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepare lead time reports for sales when requested.

About the role
