Job summary

Kamal Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Scheduler to create and maintain baseline, master, and look-ahead schedules for construction projects in Pekan, Pahang. You will load resources, monitor progress, and produce dashboards for management and stakeholders.

You will identify schedule variances, analyze delays, and propose recovery plans while coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams on manpower and material delivery. On-site role based in Pekan.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 4–5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or controls.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office (Excel).

This role involves creating and maintaining baseline, master, and look-ahead schedules, incorporating resource loading and specific contract requirements. You will monitor daily and weekly progress against approved plans, generate progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms, and dashboards for management and stakeholders. The position requires identifying schedule variances, monitoring critical path activities, analyzing delays, and proposing effective recovery or catch-up plans. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams to align manpower, material deliveries, and work sequences, and prepare and manage Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and associated delay documentation.

About you

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline

• Strong proficiency in scheduling software, specifically Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Good command of MS Office, especially Excel
• AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage
• Strong analytical abilities and critical path analysis expertise
• Willing to be based on-site in Pekan, Pahang
