Job summary

China Construction Pearl River (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Planning Engineer for a building construction project at IOI City Mall Phase 3 in Putrajaya. You will develop and monitor master programmes, ensuring on-time progress across high-rise and mixed-use development.

The role requires 3+ years' planning experience, proficiency in Primavera P6, and strong CPM expertise. You will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and consultants to drive schedules and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer in building construction projects.
• Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential or mixed-use developments preferred.
• Proficient in Primavera P6; Microsoft Project knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of CPM, baseline programmes and progress monitoring.

Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer in building construction projects. Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, shopping mall or mixed-use developments is preferred.

Proficient in Primavera P6 and familiar with Microsoft Project.

Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, baseline programme, Critical Path Method (CPM), progress monitoring, S-curve and look-ahead planning.

Able to analyse project progress, identify delays and prepare mitigation or recovery plans.

Experience in preparing weekly/monthly progress reports and coordinating with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and consultants.

Experience working with a main contractor is preferred.

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Able to work at the IOI City Mall Phase 3 project site, Putrajaya.

Candidates with experience mainly in IT, software, telecommunications or manufacturing will not be considered.

Responsibility

We are hiring a Planning Engineer for a building construction project (IOI City Mall Phase 3).

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, update and monitor the master construction programme and detailed work schedules.

Develop baseline schedules, weekly/monthly progress updates and look-ahead programmes.

Monitor actual site progress against planned progress and identify potential delays.

Prepare S-curves, progress reports, manpower/resource planning and schedule analysis.

Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and propose recovery/mitigation plans where required.

Coordinate closely with Project Manager, site team, subcontractors and consultants on construction progress.

Assist with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) supporting documents and planning-related reports.

Attend project progress meetings and provide schedule updates.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.

Relevant experience as a Planning Engineer in building construction projects.

Experience in high-rise, commercial, residential, shopping mall or mixed-use building projects is preferred.

Proficient in Primavera P6; Microsoft Project knowledge is an advantage.

Good understanding of construction sequencing, CPM, baseline programme and progress monitoring.

Experience working with a main contractor is preferred.

Able to work at the project site in IOI Resort City / Putrajaya area.

Important: This position is specifically for building construction project planning. Experience mainly in IT, software, telecommunications or manufacturing is not considered relevant for this role.
