Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as Planning Engineer or Senior Planning Engineer in construction.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 project management software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control construction project schedules from inception to completion.
• Prepare and update work programs with progress tracking and reports.
• Liaise with client’s consultants, subcontractors and authorities to ensure delivery objectives.
• Assist Planning Manager with notices of claims and extension of time documentation.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports for clients.

Gadang Group of Companies' is seeking a talented Assistant Manager / Manager, Planning Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Johor Bahru, Johor. In this important role, you will be responsible for providing strategic planning and scheduling expertise to support the successful delivery of the company's construction projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

Work closely with the Project Director in project planning, monitoring progress of construction activities and to ensure smooth implementation of project assigned from inception to completion within the specified time frame and quality.

To ensure all planning aspects to achieve continuous improvement and excellence in meeting Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health (QESH) requirements in contract and client's expectations.

Ability to liaise effectively with client’s consultants, subcontractors and other relevant government authorities to achieve delivery objectives.

Ensure accurate scheduling reports are generated through standard planning procedures and guidelines using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsible to assist the implementation and monitor development projects in adherence to company quality guidelines.

Assessment of physical work achievements and productivity based on the scope of work for each contractor.

Liaison with site workforce and other departments for progress updates and identification of constraints.

To analyze and monitor data discrepancies between Tender document, Specification & Construction Drawings.

Prepare and update necessary work programs as requested by Management or Client. Support progress updates with schematic or layout diagrams and progress tracking sheet.

Assist Planning Manager in providing contents in Notice of Claims, subsequent interim particulars and final particulars for Extension of Time purpose.

Assist Planning Manager in preparation of Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports to the Client. Any other duties as assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

8+ years' experience as a Planning Engineer or Senior Planning Engineer, ideally within the construction industry.

Proficient in using project management software such as Primavera P6

Strong technical understanding of construction methods, processes and project lifecycle.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive problem-solving approach.

Willing to work at RTS Project in Johor Bahru. Working days are Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
