Job summary

MGB Berhad is seeking a capable Construction Project Coordinator to execute projects on schedule, cost and quality using Microsoft Project online. You will review drawings, submit RFIs, and manage shop drawings and As-Built submissions at site.

Candidates should hold a Civil Engineering degree, have at least 2 years’ experience, and be proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Primavera. Experience with high-rise residential projects is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or construction management.
• At least 2 years' experience in a related field required.
• High-rise residential project experience is strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects to meet schedule, cost and quality as per master program in MS Project.
• Prepare and maintain daily site progress and review structural drawings.
• Submit RFIs to consultants for inspection and approvals.
• Ensure timely submission of shop drawings and As-Built drawings at site.
• Vet approved method statements and work instructions for compliance.
• Monitor project schedule, cost, and quality plans and report deviations.

• 1. Execute the projects to meet established schedule, cost and quality as per the estimated master programming the Microsoft Project online.
• 2. To prepare and maintain daily site progress.
• 3. To review structural drawings. To prepare and submit Request for Information (RFI) to consultant for inspection.
• 4. To ensure timely submission of shop drawings and follow-up preparation of As-Built Drawings and material samples submission at site.
• 5. To vet the approved method statement or work instructions.
• 6. Adhere to the project schedule, cost and quality plan.
• 7. To arrange and conduct sub-contractor meeting as well as attend other technical interface meetings with clients and consultants.
• 8. To supervise and monitor sub-contractor progress of work at site.
• 9. To carry out quality inspection for work done by sub-contractors at site as well as maintaining such records.
• 10. Develop details project work breakdown Structure (WBS) prior to each stage of the construction.
• 11. Monitor and analyze project effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative tools.
• 12. Monitor schedules and risk management plans and provide serious deviations warnings hindering project results.
• 13. Recommend modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.
• 14. Develop detailed task lists and work effort assessment.
• 15. Prepare and present regular internal and external projects reports for management.
• 16. Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team.
• 17. Identify changes in work scope in the project plan.
• 18. Ensure to take appropriate planning measures with all clients to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, proposals, contracts and budgets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), Construction Management or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experiences in the related field is required for this position.
