Calibre Events Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist in Kuala Lumpur to handle monthly payroll for agency staff and contract workers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role includes data entry, reconciliations, and statutory filings, with liaison to accountants and authorities.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in payroll, strong knowledge of Malaysian regulations, and proficiency in payroll software and Excel.
Processing monthly payroll for all agency employees and contract workers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in salary disbursements
Managing payroll systems and databases, including data entry, verification, and reconciliation of payroll records
Calculating and administering statutory deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings in accordance with Malaysian employment law and regulations
Preparing payroll reports and documentation for management, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance purposes
Liaising with external accountants, tax authorities, and financial institutions regarding payroll matters
Ensuring compliance with all relevant labour laws, tax regulations, and employment standards applicable to recruitment agencies
Managing employee inquiries and resolving payroll-related issues promptly and professionally
Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information
Coordinating year-end tax documentation and statutory filings including EA forms and other regulatory requirements
Supporting the HR team with payroll-related data for recruitment, onboarding, and employee management processes
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within a recruitment agency or similar HR-focused environment
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, tax regulations, and statutory requirements including EPF, SOCSO, and income tax compliance
Proficiency with payroll software systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is advantageous
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail with strong organisational skills
Professional certification in payroll or HR management, such as the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or equivalent qualification, is preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees, management, and external stakeholders
Understanding of the recruitment industry and temporary workforce management is a plus
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative relationships with the wider HR and finance teams
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with integrity
