Job summary

Clarks in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a frontline retail team member to demonstrate products, engage customers, and drive sales in a fast-paced footwear environment. You will maintain shelves, manage stock, and process transactions with a focus on service quality.

Role requires excellent communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with Mandarin a bonus. The position emphasizes visual merchandising, punctuality, and brand standards in-store.

Qualifications

• SPM level education or equivalent
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus
• Experience in retail or customer-facing roles is desirable

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and explain products to persuade customers to purchase
• Identify interested customers and provide brand/product information
• Promote promotions and incentives to drive purchases
• Deliver achieve personal sales targets and sell-through
• Perform up-sell and cross-sell when opportunities arise
• Record sales accurately via POS system
• Replenish shelves and adhere to visual merchandising guidelines
• Maintain tidiness and proper stock locations
• Provide excellent service to customers and vendors
• Conduct regular stock checks and inventories
• Observe punctuality and grooming standards
• Ensure store security and report breaches when necessary

• Articulate promotion information, and other incentives to educate/ persuade customers to consider purchasing products
• Deliver sell-through to meet personal sales targets
• Perform up-sell and cross-sell should opportunities arise
• Ensure records of sale via the point-of-sale system
• Replenish shelves with products and ensure adherence to visual merchandising guidelines
• Perform general housekeeping - keep areas neat while working, and return items to correct locations
• Provide excellent service to customers and vendors
• Perform stock check and stock count on a periodic basis, or as instructed

Essential Knowledge

• Educated to SPM level
