Job summary

AIB ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS SDN BHD is seeking an Architect to prepare preliminary conceptual sketches, conduct feasibility studies, and develop designs into 3D models for presentation. You will verify authority requirements and liaise with relevant authorities and consultants as needed.

Responsibilities include overseeing tender drawings, construction drawings and schedules, coordinating site/consultant meetings, and ensuring on-site works reflect approved plans.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor Degree in Architecture equivalent to LAM Part I/II.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar position.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and professional attitude with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia with good writing skills.
• Knowledge of commercial design and renovation.
• Well-versed with bylaw/guideline and Authorities’ submission requirements.
• Able to handle stress in fast-track project environment.
• Able to work as a team and meet deadlines.
• Passion for Architecture and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary conceptual sketch design, feasibility studies, and develop design into 3D model for presentation.
• Check authority requirements, submission guidelines, and liaise with authority representatives as needed.
• Liaise with consultants / coordinate consultant requirements.
• Prepare and issue tender drawings, details, and schedules for Tender documents.
• Oversee preparation & issuance of construction drawings and details, ensuring drawings match approved plans.
• Organise and chair site/consultant meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and conduct site inspections with contractors/consultants.
• Coordinate and prepare for CCC applications and inspections upon completion of construction works with authorities.
• Undertake other related jobs from time to time as assigned by the Director.

Job description

Prepare preliminary conceptual sketch design, feasibility studies (where necessary to prepare preliminary cost estimates), and follow up to develop the design proposal into 3D Model as required for presentation.

Check all authority requirements, submission guidelines, and procedures and liaise with the relevant authority representative where necessary.

Liaise with consultants / coordinate consultant requirements

Preparation and issuance of the tender drawings, details, and schedules for the preparation of the Tender documents.

To oversee the preparation & issuance of the construction drawings and details, ensuring that drawings correspond to the approved plans.

Organize and chair the site/consultant meetings, prepare the site/consultant meeting minutes, and carry out periodical site inspections with the contractors / consultants to ensure that works on site are carried out as per the construction drawings / instructions.

Coordinate and prepare for the application of Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) and inspections upon completion of construction works with the relevant Authorities.

Undertake other related jobs from time to time as assigned by the Director.

REQUIREMENT

Master or Bachelor Degree in Architecture equivalent to LAM Part I / II

Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar position.

Self-motivated, responsible, and professional attitude, minimum supervision, good communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia with good writing skills

AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office ( revit, BIM and Lumion are plus point )

Knowledge of commercial design and renovation will be an added advantage

Well versed of Bylaw/guideline and Authorities’ submission requirements

Able to handle stress under fast-track project nature

Able to work as a team and meet the datelines

Passion for Architecture and willingness to learn
