About the role
We are seeking a Part 2 Architect with a minimum of 2 years' work experience to join our dynamic team at our Kelana Jaya, Selangor office. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to progress your architectural career whilst contributing meaningfully to our diverse portfolio of projects. As a Part 2 Architect, you will work under the guidance of senior architects and project leads, developing practical skills in design development, documentation, and project delivery. You will play a vital role in bridging the gap between conceptual design and construction reality, whilst building your professional experience towards full architectural registration.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed design proposals and technical drawings for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects
- Prepare construction documentation, specifications, and details in accordance with relevant building codes and standards
- Support the design team in producing presentation materials, 3D visualisations, and project proposals for clients
- Conduct site visits and building surveys to assess existing conditions and inform design decisions
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure design intent is understood and accurately implemented
- Assist with building regulations compliance, planning submissions, and statutory approvals processes
- Contribute to project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and progress monitoring
- Undertake research into materials, construction methodologies, and design precedents to inform project development
- Support sustainability initiatives and contribute to environmentally responsible design solutions
- Participate in collaborative team sessions and design reviews to refine project outcomes
What we're looking for
- Part 2 architectural qualification or equivalent professional status in Malaysia
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduation professional experience in an architectural practice or related design environment
- Strong proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM tools
- Competence in 3D modelling and visualisation software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or V-Ray
- Solid understanding of building codes, planning regulations, and construction methodologies relevant to the Malaysian context
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation
- Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow direction from senior architects
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop practical solutions to design and technical challenges
- Keen interest in contemporary architecture and commitment to continuous professional development
- Preferred experience in sustainable design practices, parametric design, or working on complex mixed-use developments
- Preferred familiarity with project management tools and workflows
