Job summary

FIBS is seeking an Operations Executive in Klang to manage international ocean and air shipments, handle documentation, and maintain client relationships. You will resolve shipment issues and support day-to-day logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in business or operations, 3+ years in logistics, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in CRM and MS Office. KEK certificate is a plus. This role is based in Klang, Selangor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/admin or related field required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Proficiency in CRM and MS Office; attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Fully handle overall operation of Sea & Air shipments, Logistics and Document Control
• Manage & monitor daily shipment activities
• Update shipments status and inform customer accordingly
• Liaise with carrier and transporter for space bookings and delivery/collection arrangements
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Handle customer enquiries timely and effectively
• Work with internal operations to meet customers' requirements
• Ensure compliance with customers' SOPs
• Ensure data is updated accurately in the system
• Follow up with customers on claims for missing or damaged cargo; billing, costing and close job files timely
• Verify vendor invoices
• Provide quality service to existing and new customers
• Any other duties as assigned by reporting line

Overview:

As an Operations Executive, you will play a key role in delivering a positive customer experience. Your main area of responsibility will be handling international ocean and air shipments, while maintaining client relationships, resolving shipment issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics operations.

Responsibilities:

• Fully handle overall operation of Sea & Air shipments, Logistics and Document Control
• Manage & monitor daily shipment activities
• Update shipments status and inform customer accordingly
• Liaise with carrier and transporter for space bookings & delivery/collection arrangement
• Maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Handle all customers' enquiries timely and effectively
• Work closely with internal operations to meet customers' requirements
• Ensure compliance with customers' Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure all data are updated correctly in the system
• Follow up with customers on claims for missing or damaged cargo Billing, costing and close job file timely
• Verify vendor invoices
• Any others job assigned by the functional reporting line
• Provide quality service to existing and new customers.
• Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

• Able to present him/herself in a professional manner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in CRM Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in logistic, Freight Forwarding / Transportation.
• Preferably with KEK Certificate
