Job summary

J&T Express (Malaysia) in Shah Alam seeks an Operations Team Leader to guide ground operations for parcel receiving, sorting and dispatch within deadlines. You will lead a team of operators, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to SOPs, while reporting to the Assistant Operations Supervisor or Operations Supervisor.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in warehouse/logistics, strong communication and leadership skills, and is comfortable with scanning systems.

Qualifications

• SPM, Certificate or Diploma in any field.
• 1–3 years in warehouse/logistics, with team leadership preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with scanning or warehouse systems is an advantage.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate parcel receiving, unloading, scanning, sorting, loading, and dispatch activities
• Ensure parcels processed within the required cut-off time and operational timeline
• Monitor parcel scanning and sorting accuracy, and minimise mis-sorting, missing scans, and operational errors
• Assign daily tasks and workstations to team members based on operational volume and manpower availability
• Monitor team attendance, punctuality, productivity, and work performance
• Provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to operations team members
• Ensure team members follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and operational instructions
• Identify operational bottlenecks and immediately report issues to the Assistant Supervisor / Supervisor
• Monitor the condition and proper use of scanners, equipment, and operational facilities
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety at the assigned operational area

Job description

J&T Express (Malaysia) is opening new sorting centres in Shah Alam. As an Operations Team Leader, you will lead a team of operators on the ground, making sure parcels are received, sorted, and dispatched accurately and within the required cut-off time. You will report to the Assistant Operations Supervisor / Operations Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate parcel receiving, unloading, scanning, sorting, loading, and dispatch activities

Ensure all assigned parcels are processed within the required cut-off time and operational timeline

Monitor parcel scanning and sorting accuracy, and minimise mis-sorting, missing scans, and operational errors

Assign daily tasks and workstations to team members based on operational volume and manpower availability

About you
