Job summary

J&T Express (Malaysia) is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to develop and enforce safety practices across our Shah Alam operations, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and helping to build a strong safety culture.

You will lead policy updates, risk assessments, and training while supporting audits and inspections. The role requires a Diploma in OSH, 2–3 years of OSH experience, and relevant certifications. Malaysian citizens or PR holders preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (minimum).
• 2–3 years OSH Coordinator experience, or SHO (Green Book) preferred.
• Additional certifications such as First Aid, CPR/AED, Fire Warden/Fire Marshal, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor are an advantage.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required.
• Malaysian citizens and PR holders only.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update Safety Policies, SOPs, Guidelines, Forms, and Checklists.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, OSHA Amendment 2022, DOSH/JKKP and related regulations.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and compliance reviews.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits and compliance monitoring across all workstations.
• Prepare and review HIRARC and risk assessments, and implement control measures.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, including RCA and CAPA.
• Monitor, analyse and report monthly safety performance and KPIs.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, safety awareness programmes and OSH training.
• Develop and maintain ERP, organise fire drills and monitor emergency preparedness procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardise safety practices and documentation across all Gateways.

J&T Express (Malaysia) is opening new sorting centres in Shah Alam. As a Safety & Health Officer, you will develop and enforce safety practices across our operations, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and helping to build a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

Develop, review, and update Safety Policies, SOPs, Guidelines, Forms, and Checklists

Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, OSHA (Amendment) 2022, DOSH/JKKP requirements and other applicable regulations

Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and compliance reviews

Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits and compliance monitoring across all workstations

Prepare and review HIRARC and risk assessments, and implement control measures

Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)

Monitor, analyse and report monthly safety performance, accident statistics and Safety KPIs

Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, safety awareness programmes and other OSH-related training

Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP), organise fire drills and monitor emergency preparedness procedures

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardise safety practices and documentation across all Gateways

About you

Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health

Minimum 2-3 years of OSH Coordinator working experience, or SHO (Green Book) Certificate is preferred

Additional certificates such as Basic Occupational First Aid, CPR & AED Certificate, Fire Warden / Fire Marshal Training Certificate and ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor are an advantage

Willing to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required
