Job summary

J&T Express (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage daily truck fleet operations, assign drivers, arrange dispatches, and ensure adherence to planned routes and schedules.

You will optimize daily trip schedules, coordinate with the maintenance team, monitor KPIs such as on-time performance and fuel efficiency, and lead dispatchers to resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain, Business or related fields (preferred).
• Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in transport, fleet operations, or similar environment.
• Experience supervising dispatchers, drivers, or transport teams is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fleet operations, routing, vehicle capacity planning, and basic maintenance requirements.
• Proficient in Transport Management System (TMS), GPS tracking tools, and MS Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, including shifts or weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall daily truck fleet operations by ensuring vehicle availability, driver assignment, dispatch arrangement, and adherence to planned routes and schedules.
• Plan and optimize daily trip schedules, routing, and fleet utilization while making timely adjustments for urgent shipments, delays, or vehicle breakdowns.
• Ensure all fleet-related documentation and system records—including trip logs, fuel, mileage, tolls, and GPS data—are complete, accurate, and updated promptly.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure all vehicles undergo timely servicing and repairs, remain roadworthy, and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and supervise dispatchers and drivers while coordinating with internal departments and external parties to resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Monitor and report fleet KPIs such as on-time performance, utilization, fuel efficiency, and breakdown rates to support continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives.

Job description
