Job summary

ABRAO SHIPPING MALAYSIA SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking an Operations Executive to manage container movements, coordinate with customers, depots, ports and haulage providers, and guarantee timely execution across Southeast Asia.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in logistics or shipping, solid knowledge of port procedures and liner operations, strong communication under pressure, and a collaborative spirit in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding.
• Good knowledge of shipping operations, port procedures, container depot operations, and liner logistics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update container movements in the system.
• Coordinate container release with customers, depots, ports, and haulage providers.
• Monitor vessel schedules and operational timelines.
• Prepare loading lists, TDRs, and key operational reports.
• Arrange empty container repositioning with depots, haulage providers, freight forwarders, and ports.
• Monitor and arrange transshipment to ensure timely vessel connections.
• Verify and process operational costs and related documentation.
• Resolve operational issues and container damage cases.
• Coordinate with depots and ensure container release follows FIFO.
• Guide and manage regional Southeast Asia EQC to comply with group standards.
• Support ad-hoc agency and operational tasks.

Job description

Operation Executive role within a shipping and logistics environment, managing container movements, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring timely operational execution across Southeast Asian markets.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and update container movements in the system.

Coordinate container release with customers, depots, ports, and haulage providers.

Monitor vessel schedules and operational timelines.

Prepare loading lists, TDRs, and key operational reports.

Arrange empty container repositioning with depots, haulage providers, freight forwarders, and ports.

Monitor and arrange transshipment to ensure timely vessel connections.

Verify and process operational costs and related documentation.

Resolve operational issues and container damage cases.

Coordinate with depots and ensure container release follows the FIFO.

Guide and manage regional Southeast Asia EQC to comply with group standards.

Support ad-hoc agency and operational tasks.

About you

Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)

Good knowledge of shipping operations, port procedures, container depot operations, and liner logistics

Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment
