About the role

We are seeking an Operation Executive to join our dynamic team at IPOH CARGO TERMINAL SDN. BHD. in Ipoh, Perak. This is a contract position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our cargo terminal facilities. As an Operation Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations, managing cargo handling processes, and ensuring compliance with all operational and safety procedures. This role is integral to maintaining our operational efficiency and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate cargo loading, unloading and storage operations at the terminal

Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments

Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, standard operating procedures and company policies

Communicate with shipping agents, customs officials and clients to facilitate smooth cargo movement

Coordinate with drivers and logistics partners to schedule deliveries and pickups

Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to minimise delays

Maintain documentation including bills of lading, shipping manifests and cargo declarations

Conduct regular inspections of cargo and terminal facilities to ensure quality and safety standards

Train and support junior staff members in operational procedures and best practices

Report operational metrics and performance data to senior management

What we're looking for

Strong knowledge of cargo terminal operations and standard operating procedures

Familiarity with customs clearance processes and documentation requirements

Proficiency in logistics management systems and warehouse management software

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively

Strong communication skills in English and Malay, both written and verbal

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

Knowledge of import and export regulations is an advantage
