Job summary

The candidate should have 1–3 years' facilities management experience, a relevant diploma or certificate, and strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, AC) with excellent organisational and communication skills.

About the role

Neofrontier Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Operation cum Maintenance Officer to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations and maintenance of our properties and facilities. As Operation cum Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing both operational efficiency and the physical upkeep of our managed properties, ensuring that all facilities meet our high standards of quality and safety. This role is essential to maintaining tenant satisfaction and protecting the value of our assets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned properties, ensuring all systems and facilities function optimally
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on building infrastructure, including HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, and structural elements
• Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities, liaising with contractors and service providers as needed
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations, ensuring minimal disruption to guests, tenants and operations
• Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes
• Monitor utility consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and building regulations throughout all managed properties
• Supervise and coordinate with contractors & suppliers on operational procedures and safety protocols
• Prepare routine reports on property conditions, maintenance activities, and operational performance
• Liaise with guest or tenants to address concerns and ensure satisfactory living or working conditions

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Certificate in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience in facilities management or property maintenance operations
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and AC maintenance
• Proven experience in managing preventative and corrective maintenance programmes
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Proficiency in using property management software and maintenance tracking systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with tenants, contractors, and team members
• Valid driving license
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and building compliance standards
• Problem-solving abilities and initiative to identify and implement improvements in operations
• Preferred: Experience with body corporate or strata-managed properties
• Preferred: Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling and budgeting
