Job summary

Private Advertiser in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced Mall Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of our shopping mall facilities.

You will lead a team of maintenance personnel, coordinate with service providers, and ensure safety, cleanliness and high standards across all building systems.

Applicants should have 5+ years in mall or commercial building maintenance management and be proficient in maintenance management software and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in mall or commercial building maintenance management.
• Proven experience managing and supervising maintenance teams in a large, multi-tenant facility.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and structural maintenance.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programmes and building asset management best practices.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with staff, contractors and tenants.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, building codes and health and safety compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and computer systems.
• Relevant qualifications in building maintenance, facilities management or mechanical engineering are highly desirable.
• Valid driving licence and reliability to respond to emergency maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily maintenance and repair operations of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems and structural elements.
• Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to specification.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and programmes to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of building assets.
• Conduct regular inspections of all mall facilities, common areas, car parks and building infrastructure to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, documentation and logs for all work completed.
• Manage maintenance budgets and control costs whilst maintaining service quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes and health and safety legislation.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and develop contingency plans for critical systems.
• Liaise with mall management, tenants and building occupants regarding maintenance activities and service disruptions.
• Conduct safety training and induction programmes for maintenance staff and contractors.

About the role We are seeking an experienced Mall Maintenance Manager to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor.
