Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience in hospitality and tourism.
• Proven track record in hotel, resort or similar hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Proficient in hospitality PMS and related systems.
• Strong budgeting, cost control and financial acumen.
• Fluent English and Malay communication.
• Certification in hospitality management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across properties, ensuring policy and standards.
• Manage budgets, control costs and optimise resources.
• Recruit, train and develop operational staff.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through service standards and QA.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hospitality facilities and services. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient operations whilst maintaining our commitment to guest satisfaction, staff excellence and profitability. You will work closely with senior management to implement operational strategies and drive continuous improvement across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily operations across assigned properties or departments, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures and industry standards
• Manage budgets, control costs and optimise resource allocation to achieve financial targets and profitability goals
• Supervise, recruit, train and mentor operational staff, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring high performance standards
• Ensure excellent guest experiences through quality assurance monitoring and implementation of service standards
• Co-ordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, front office and food and beverage teams to ensure seamless operations
• Implement health, safety and security protocols to protect guests, staff and company assets
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on operational metrics for senior management
• Address guest complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement process enhancements
• Maintain compliance with local regulations and industry best practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience within the hospitality and tourism industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing hotel, resort or similar hospitality operations
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle operational challenges with composure and professionalism
• Proficiency in hospitality management systems and hotel property management systems (PMS)
• Sound understanding of financial management, budgeting and cost control
• Strong communication skills in both English and Malay (or other local languages)
• Knowledge of health, safety and security standards relevant to the hospitality sector
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Certification in hospitality management or hotel operations would be advantageous
