Job summary

Avisena Specialist Hospital in Shah Alam is hiring nurses to support pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care within the Operating Theatre. You will review schedules, prepare the OT, assist the surgical team, and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.

Fresh graduates with APC & LJM licenses are encouraged to apply. The role includes shift work, on-call duties, and opportunities for professional development through education support and courses.

Qualifications

• Adheres to Nursing Standard and Code of Ethics.
• Know principles, method and technique of standard nursing practice.
• Work on shift and on-call duties delivering care to standards.
• Review daily patient reports and progress details.
• Follow doctors and assist in procedures when required.
• Fresh graduates with APC & LJM licenses encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative: prepare the Operating Theatre before procedures and align with the schedule.
• Intra-Operative: assist surgical team and act as circulating nurse.
• Post-Operative: scrub or circulate after wound closure and document promptly.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients requiring close monitoring.
• Participate in health education for patients and relatives during hospitalization and discharge.
• Assist HOD in managing Operating Theatre Quality Improvement Activities.
• Prioritize nursing care and escalate concerns to seniors when needed.
