in Malaysia is seeking a Resident Engineer to deliver professional IT services for local offices and branches and to support global networks and end users. You will resolve end-user issues, manage WAN/LAN, maintain Windows servers, and oversee data center operations to ensure high availability, security, and efficiency, while documenting changes and reporting on status and projects.

Qualifications

• Continuously upgrade knowledge to upkeep skills against fast-changing technology.

Responsibilities

• Resolve end user requests or problems at sites in the areas of desktop, laptop, servers hardware, network, firewalls, system infrastructure, and other peripherals or related applications
• WAN / LAN administration and maintenance of windows servers, configure and administer associated applications and services
• Maintain network equipment such as firewall, routers, switches, IDS, load balancer, DHCP, DNS and remote access services for global offices
• Manage and execute daily operations of Data Center facility to achieve high availability, security, and efficiency
• Participate actively in system infrastructure management and ensure its smooth operation, optimum performance, and safeguard data integrity
• Recommend continuous improvements and enhancements of performance, reliability, security and recoverability of systems and networks
• Centralize and manage all global offices network, monitoring, network diagrams, and access for all offices and update on all changes with documents
• Prepare and submit status, project, and service reports timely whenever requested
• Participate in global projects as required by management, including projects in both internal and external contexts
• Manage company project activities and maintain existing company projects related to telephony system deployment
• Continuously upgrade knowledge to upkeep skills against fast-changing technology as required by the company through either self-pace or training
