Job summary

EXSIM Development Sdn Bhd seeks a Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager and site teams in Langkawi. The role focuses on supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Architecture/Civil/Structural engineering or related field with about 3 years of experience, and is able to work on site full time. ISO/QLASSIC familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Diploma in Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in related field.
• Experience in high rise building works is an added advantage.
• Must be able to work on site full time and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Construction Manager/Site Manager to supervise, monitor and coordinate at project site with contractors and consultants.
• Ensure works are in accordance with drawings, specifications, plans, contract and procedures.
• Execute inspections and use QC mechanisms to meet quality requirements (QLASSIC, GBI, etc).
• Assist in issuing site memos/NCRs for non-compliance with quality standards, drawings and specs.
• Prepare and update daily reports, verify progress reports and attend site meetings.
• Check and report discrepancies in drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with contractors for defect rectification during the Defect Liability Period.
• Oversee construction activities, progress planning and work schedules per master/detailed programs.
• Supervise works to ensure conformity with project specifications and identify non-conformances.
• Prepare PQP forms/checklists and daily records; follow internal processes.
