Job summary

EAR ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a site supervisor to oversee daily construction activities on project sites in Malaysia. You will ensure safety and quality, read drawings, and coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet schedule and requirements.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering or related field and 2–5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication, coordination skills, and familiarity with site safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction/site supervision.
• Experience in building, civil, infrastructure, renovation, or related construction projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, site procedures, materials, and workmanship standards.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Good understanding of site safety requirements and construction practices.
• Familiar with site inspection, quality control, and construction coordination.
• Able to supervise workers and subcontractors effectively.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities, workers, and subcontractors. Ensure work is completed safely, according to schedule, drawings, and project requirements.
• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities.
• Monitor manpower, materials, tools, machinery, and equipment required for daily works.
• Ensure construction works are completed according to the project schedule and work programme.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and progress.
• Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, and workers to resolve site issues.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Identify site problems, defects, and delays and report them to the Project Engineer/Project Manager.
• Ensure materials delivered to site are according to approved specifications and requirements.
