Job summary

EXSIM Development Sdn Bhd seeks a Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager and site teams in Langkawi. The role focuses on supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Architecture/Civil/Structural engineering or related field with about 3 years of experience, and is able to work on site full time. ISO/QLASSIC familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Diploma in Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in related field.
• Experience in high rise building works is an added advantage.
• Must be able to work on site full time and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Construction Manager/Site Manager to supervise, monitor and coordinate at project site with contractors and consultants.
• Ensure works are in accordance with drawings, specifications, plans, contract and procedures.
• Execute inspections and use QC mechanisms to meet quality requirements (QLASSIC, GBI, etc).
• Assist in issuing site memos/NCRs for non-compliance with quality standards, drawings and specs.
• Prepare and update daily reports, verify progress reports and attend site meetings.
• Check and report discrepancies in drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with contractors for defect rectification during the Defect Liability Period.
• Oversee construction activities, progress planning and work schedules per master/detailed programs.
• Supervise works to ensure conformity with project specifications and identify non-conformances.
• Prepare PQP forms/checklists and daily records; follow internal processes.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To assist Project Manager / Construction Manager / Site Manager to supervise, monitor, coordinate at Project Site with Contractors & Consultants.
• Ensure that all works executed are in accordance with drawings, specifications, construction plans, contract and procedures.
• Execute inspections and utilize quality control mechanisms to check & monitor project’s quality to ensure achieving the quality requirements i.e. QLASSIC, GBI, etc.
• To assist Consultants issue site memo or NCR to contractors for non-compliance of the required Quality Standard, Construction Drawing and Specifications.

• Overseeing the construction activities and progress planning, implementation and monitoring work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work programmers.
• Supervise construction works and ensure that all works are performed in accordance with the project's specifications.
• Undertaking inspection of work at all stages of work to ensure conformance to specifications. Identifying and reporting non-conformance.
• Preparation & check of all PQP forms and checklists, daily records.
• Follow company's internal processes and procedures.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time-to-time by the Management.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma either in Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management or equivalent.

Related Work Experience (Internal to the organization or external)

• Minimum 3 years working experience in related field;
• Experience in high rise building works will be an added advantage;
• Able to carry out duties on site full time;
• Good interpersonal, attitude, integrity & analytical skill;
• Preferably with ISO & QLASSIC experience;
• Self-motivated and is able to work independently;
• Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment;
• Possess good communication skills;
• Possess adequate knowledge and experience in architectural and ID fit-out works would be an added advantage;
• Willing to be based in Langkawi.
