Job summary

WAC Logistics Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Ocean Freight Executive based in Johor Bahru / Iskandar Puteri to manage import and export shipments from booking through to delivery. The role supports Singapore ocean freight operations and requires strong coordination with shipping lines, agents, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement.

You will handle bookings, documentation, vessel schedules and customs processes, while maintaining accurate records and responsive cost

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean freight or freight forwarding operations.
• Good knowledge of FCL/LCL import and export procedures.
• Familiar with shipping documentation, customs clearance and container operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily ocean freight import and export operations for Singapore shipments, covering FCL/LCL.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, customers, hauliers and internal teams for shipment arrangements.
• Handle shipment booking, container release, loading, sailing, delivery and empty container returns.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Shipping Instructions.
• Monitor vessel schedules, ETD/ETA, transhipment and shipment status, and follow up on delays or changes.
• Coordinate customs clearance, trucking and container delivery with relevant parties.
• Check freight and local charges, and assist with quotations, freight rates and invoicing when required.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, update the operating system and ensure compliance with relevant customs and shipping requirements.
• Perform other duties and operational tasks assigned by Management.

Join our growing logistics team as an Ocean Freight Executive, managing import and export shipments from booking through to delivery. The role is based in Johor Bahru / Iskandar Puteri and supports our Singapore ocean freight operations.

Key responsibilities

Manage daily ocean freight import and export operations for Singapore shipments, covering FCL/LCL.

About you

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Experience with freight forwarding or logistics operating systems will be an advantage.
