Job summary

KMR FREIGHT is seeking a Freight Forwarding Executive in Malaysia. You will manage day-to-day logistics, coordinate shipments, and maintain clear communication among customers, overseas agents, carriers, customs, warehouse teams and internal operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on freight forwarding, accurate documentation, and timely delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in freight forwarding is required.
• Experience in import/export documentation.
• Experience in shipment coordination and customs clearance.
• Knowledge of Malaysian customs and import/export requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on shipment matters.
• Receive and process customer booking and shipment instructions.
• Provide customers with regular updates on shipment status, ETA/ETD, delivery arrangements and delays.
• Coordinate with operations, warehouse, transport, carriers and overseas agents for smooth shipment movement.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate air, sea and/or land transportation shipments.
• Prepare and verify shipping and forwarding documentation.
• Monitor shipment schedules, vessel/flight arrivals and delivery status.
• Coordinate and monitor import and export customs clearance activities.
• Prepare, check and submit customs-related documentation and declarations.

The Freight Forwarding Executive is responsible for managing customers' day-to-day logistics requirements, coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth communication between customers, overseas agents, carriers, customs, transporters, warehouse teams and internal operations. The role requires hands-on experience in freight forwarding, import/export documentation, shipment coordination and customs clearance, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, accuracy and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on shipment-related matters

• Coordinate with operations, warehouse, transport, shipping lines, airlines and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment movement
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service-related issues promptly and professionally
• Coordinate air freight, sea freight and/or land transportation shipments
• Prepare and verify shipping and forwarding documentation
• Monitor shipment schedules, vessel/flight arrivals, transhipments and delivery status
• Coordinate and monitor import and export customs clearance activities
• Prepare, check and submit customs-related documentation and declarations
