Job summary

Resonac Materials Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer to drive the early stages of product development and ensure seamless transfer to manufacturing. You will collaborate with R&D, engineering and production to validate designs, sample materials, and assess manufacturability at scale.

• Lead or support cross-functional teams to ensure timely NPI and product transfer.
• Provide technical support for sample making and feasibility studies.
• Assist in process optimization and manufacturability considerations during transitions.
• Lead innovation projects in manufacturing concepts, automation, IoT, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sample making and new product introduction activities.
• Provide technical support for product samples and ensure manufacturing feasibility.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering and production to transition from design prototypes to production.
• Drive process improvements and machine optimization for stable sample quality.
• Implement efficient material handling and flow strategies for VEC purposes.

Job description

Actively participate in all aspects of new product introduction including Quality Planning, APQP, FMEA, Design Review, and packaging/shelf life studies activities etc. in collaboration with R&D department.

Lead or support cross-functional team for new product development and products transfer project to ensure timely and smooth transition into production by working together with R&D department to achieve the project realization plan.

Actively participate in sample making/new product introduction, provide technical support to existing and new product sample making activities and to ensure product functionality/manufacturing feasibility to fulfil customers application.

Attending new products/materials evaluation, products trial run and assists production in process optimization with consideration for product manufacturability and to recommend suitable parameter and propose modification timely where necessary.

Lead innovation projects ensuring that all goals are in alignment with company overall strategic plan focusing mainly in the areas of manufacturing concept advancement, machine automation, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence.

Provide support to Manufacturing Department in process improvement, process variation reduction, problem solving activities by improving and monitor sample production process/machine in order to maintain the stability of sample quality including working with R&D, engineering and production to execute transition from design prototypes into cost efficient and high volume production.

Develop and implement efficient material handling, flow strategies involve in process improvement for VEC purpose and maintain safe and manufacturing processes at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

POSSESS AT LEAST BACHELOR DEGREE IN CHEMISTRY, MATERIAL SCIENCE OR EQUIVALENT
