Job summary

MR DIY Malaysia is seeking a Store Operations Manager to oversee performance and drive profitability across Sabah stores. You will monitor KPIs, payroll budgets, and expenses while ensuring SOP compliance and visual standards.

You will lead Branch Managers, develop strategies to improve efficiency, manage inventory and loss prevention, and travel within the zone. You will prepare reports for Management and ensure alignment with company initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Retail Management, Marketing, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in a multi-store environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage store teams and drive operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, SOP implementation, and compliance standards.
• Proven experience in driving sales performance, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel within the assigned zone.
• Proficient in analysing sales reports, KPIs, and operational data.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the performance of assigned stores to achieve sales, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer service targets.
• Monitor and analyse store performance, sales trends, KPIs, manpower productivity, payroll budgets, and operating expenses to identify improvement opportunities and drive business performance.
• Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with SOPs, standards, safety, merchandising, cleanliness, and regulations.
• Lead, coach, and develop Branch Managers to improve store performance and operational excellence.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, sales, customer service, and loss prevention.
• Identify operational gaps and implement action plans to improve profitability and performance.
• Ensure execution of marketing strategies, promotions, and company initiatives across stores.
• Monitor inventory, stock availability, and loss prevention to minimize shrinkage.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities and support improvements.
• Collaborate with departments to plan and monitor projects and initiatives.
• Prepare and present performance reports and recommendations to Management.
• Ensure stores comply with policies, regulations, licenses, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
