Job summary

OPTOSEM TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD in Johor Bahru is seeking a production leader for plastic injection moulding to oversee mould setup, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting while coordinating a team of technicians, leaders, and operators to meet daily output and quality targets.

You will ensure machines run in good condition, guide skill upgrades, liaise with QC and tool room on issues, and plan production to satisfy customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in plastic injection moulding operations.
• Ability to oversee mould setup and equipment maintenance.
• Capable of guiding and developing technicians and operators.
• Strong liaison with QC and tool room to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up moulds and ensure machines run in good condition.
• Troubleshoot machines and resolve faults promptly.
• Supervise and coordinate a group of Technicians, Leaders and Operators.
• Plan daily production activities and manage output to meet quality targets.
• Liaise with QC and tool room when technical problems arise.
• Educate and upgrade members’ skills for better performance.
• Monitor daily production output and quality to satisfy customers’ requirements.

Job description

A production leadership role in plastic injection moulding, responsible for setting up moulds, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting machines, and supervising a team of technicians, leaders, and operators to ensure daily production output and quality performance meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Setting up moulds

• Troubleshoot machine
• Command and control group of Technician, Leader and Operator
• Liaise with QC and tool room when technical problem arise
• Upgrade and educate members skill
• Supervise and plan daily operation in production
• Control and monitor daily production output and quality performance in order meet customer's requirements

About you

• Minimum of 5 years in plastic injection moulding
• Primary / Secondary School SPM, "O" level, Higher Secondary STPM, A' Level / Pre-University, Professional Certificate or equivalent
• Self discipline & able to execute production activity independent
• Willing to work at Tampoi, Johor Baru
