Job summary

Global Payments Malaysia is hiring a Merchant Sales Representative in Kuala Lumpur to identify, prospect, engage and onboard new merchants onto our payment platform. You will focus on quality merchants who meet underwriting and compliance standards while delivering excellent customer experience throughout onboarding.

You will drive monthly acquisition, build a strong pipeline, conduct product demos, and prepare proposals.

Qualifications

• SPM/STPM/Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in Banking, Payment services, Telecommunications, Insurance, POS solutions.
• Fresh graduates with exceptional sales ability may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential merchants across various industries.
• Generate leads through personal networks, referrals, cold calling, field visits and digital channels.
• Present Global Payments Malaysia’s payment solutions professionally.
• Understand merchant business requirements and recommend suitable payment products.
• Achieve monthly merchant acquisition targets.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Conduct product demonstrations where required.
• Prepare quotations and proposals.
• Assist merchants in completing application forms.
• Ensure all required documents are complete before submission.
• Verify merchant information for accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal onboarding and underwriting teams.
• Maintain relationships with merchants during onboarding.
• Build long-term customer relationships that encourage retention.
