Job summary

2HUNGRY SDN. BHD. is seeking a proactive Merchant Acquisition Executive to join the Merchant Growth team in Malaysia.

You will identify and acquire new merchants, present our platform and partnership opportunities, and build strong relationships with business owners. This Business Development / Sales role suits both experienced candidates and fresh graduates who are confident, outgoing and eager to develop a career in sales and business development.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Confident and comfortable communicating with business owners.
• Outlook/outgoing, proactive and willing to approach new customers/merchants.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source potential merchants, especially restaurants, cafés and F&B businesses.
• Conduct cold calls, WhatsApp outreach, social media outreach, walk-ins and face-to-face meetings to generate new leads.
• Introduce and promote our platform and merchant partnership opportunities.
• Meet with business owners to understand their needs and explain the benefits of joining our platform.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential merchants.
• Follow up with potential merchants regularly and convert leads into active merchants.
• Negotiate and close deals with potential merchants.
• Coordinate with Merchant Operations and other internal teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities and acquisition progress.
• Identify new business opportunities and potential merchant segments.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly merchant acquisition targets.
• Prepare regular sales and acquisition reports for management.
• Perform other business development activities as assigned.
