Job summary

De Luxe Circle Fresh Mart Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement for multiple outlets and a central warehouse in Malaysia. You will source, negotiate, and manage suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency and quality across all categories.

The role requires 5+ years in purchasing or supply chain, strong negotiation, and proficiency with ERP/inventory systems. You will collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to align inventory planning with business goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain, preferably for multiple outlets/branches.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract handling skills.
• Solid understanding of retail margins, rebates, trade agreements, and promotional support.
• Experience in inventory planning, replenishment, demand forecasting, and stock control.
• Familiarity with grocery, household, fresh, and general merchandise categories.
• Proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/inventory systems.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead a purchasing team.

Ensure timely ordering and replenishment of stocks.

Source both trade & non-trade products/materials at competitive prices.

Monitor stock levels and prevent out-of-stock situations.

Work closely with operations and warehouse teams on inventory planning.

Outlet Planogram planning.

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Monitor supplier pricing, product quality, and delivery performance.

Resolve supplier-related issues and supply shortages.

Cost Control

Negotiate the best pricing, rebates, and payment terms.

Identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.

Monitor market trends and supplier price movements.

Reporting & Compliance

Prepare purchasing reports and cost analysis.

Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Support internal audits and maintain proper documentation.

Team Management

Lead and supervise the purchasing team.

Monitor team performance and productivity.

Develop and improve purchasing SOPs and processes.

Job Responsibilities
