Job summary

Virtual Builders Sdn Bhd seeks a BIM Modeler for a Nilai, Negeri Sembilan data centre project. You will develop Fire Protection BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, produce shop, coordination, and as-built drawings, and coordinate with multiple trades to resolve clashes.

You will ensure adherence to BIM standards, deliverables, and documentation, with opportunities to advance in multidisciplinary projects and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fire Protection BIM modelling and technical drawing production.
• Ability to interpret drawings and project requirements.
• Knowledge of MEP coordination and modelling is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a BIM Modeler to support a major data centre project in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain Fire Protection BIM models and produce accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation. Candidates with the ability to coordinate and model other MEP services will have a distinct advantage. Immediate availability is also an advantage.

Key responsibilities

Develop, manage, and update detailed Fire Protection BIM models using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.

Model fire protection systems based on approved drawings, and project requirements.

Produce coordinated shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings from BIM models, including layouts, sections, elevations, and details

Coordinate Fire Protection services with architectural, structural, civil, and other MEP disciplines to identify and resolve clashes and constructability issues.

Participate in clash detection and coordination reviews and update models based on approved resolutions.

Support drawing and model submissions, including incorporation of comments, revisions, and client requirements.

Ensure BIM models comply with project BIM standards, naming conventions, coordinates, parameters, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.

Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to verify service routes, equipment locations, supports, and installation requirements.

Update models and drawings based on approved site changes and red-line mark-ups for as-built submissions.

Prepare progress updates and maintain accurate records of modelling and drawing deliverables.

About you

Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.

Experience in Fire Protection BIM modelling and technical drawing production.

Strong understanding of fire protection system layouts, installation requirements, and construction drawings.

Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows, clash detection, shop drawing production, and as-built documentation.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services coordination and modelling will be an added advantage.

Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Data centre project experience is an added advantage.
