Our client "Exyte Malaysia" is seeking an MEP BIM Modeler to join their team!
This role offers the opportunity to support a major hyperscale data centre design and build project by developing accurate MEP models, coordinating multidisciplinary systems and supporting construction delivery.
What you'll be doing?
- Develop MEP models: Create detailed Revit models for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and related building services systems.
- Maintain model information: Ensure model elements, parameters, attributes, naming conventions and file structures meet project requirements.
- Coordinate disciplines: Work with BIM teams to review architectural, structural and MEP models and support clash-detection activities.
- Resolve coordination issues: Modify models and support solutions for clashes, routing, access, clearance and constructability requirements.
- Model data centre systems: Support modelling of electrical, mechanical, cooling, fire protection, plumbing, BMS/EPMS and data hall infrastructure systems.
- Support construction delivery: Provide coordinated BIM information, incorporate approved site changes and assist with shop and installation drawings.
- Update project records: Support site coordination, model-based quantity take-offs, as-built models and record information.
- Follow BIM standards: Work in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan, Common Data Environment, project standards and information exchange procedures.
- Maintain model quality: Support model performance, file management and quality-control checks before submissions.
Who are they looking for?
- Relevant qualification: A Diploma, certificate or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, MEP Engineering, BIM, Architecture, Construction or a related discipline.
- BIM experience: At least 3 years of relevant BIM modelling experience on complex MEP projects.
- Revit MEP proficiency: Strong practical experience using Revit MEP to produce accurate and coordinated models.
- Coordination capability: Experience in multidisciplinary BIM modelling and coordination across complex building services.
- Technical interpretation: Ability to interpret MEP engineering drawings, schematics, specifications and construction documentation.
- Construction knowledge: Understanding of MEP installation practices and construction methodology.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Experience working with engineers, BIM Coordinators, contractors, subcontractors and specialist vendors.
- Relevant project exposure: Experience in hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, industrial or large commercial projects is advantageous.
