Job summary

Dwisolar Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled BIM Engineer to carry out 3D modeling, cross-trade coordination, and technical drawing production for active fire protection contracting projects.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end BIM development using Revit MEP, coordinate with Architectural, Structural and MEP teams, and produce detailed 2D drawings and as-built models for submissions and site work. Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BEP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on BIM modeling and coordination experience in MEP projects with a focus on fire protection.
• High proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD (BIM certification is a plus).
• Solid understanding of fire protection system design, spatial clearance rules, and pipe routing logic.
• Familiarity with local BIM submission guidelines, ISO 19650 standards, and BEP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development and maintenance of detailed 3D BIM models for active fire systems using Revit MEP.
• Drive multidisciplinary clash detection, spatial coordination, and clash resolution with Architecture, Structural, and MEP teams using Navisworks Manage.
• Extract accurate 2D shop drawings, builder's work details, and as-built BIM models for submissions and site installation.
• Set up BIM project templates, establish modeling standards per BEP, and build parametric Revit families for fire protection equipment.
• Represent the company in BIM coordination meetings to present model updates and maintain clash resolution logs.
• Guide site execution teams using coordinated models to verify clearances and constructability before installation.

Job description

We are looking for a BIM Engineer to carry out 3D modeling, cross-trade spatial coordination, and technical drawing production for active fire protection contracting projects.

Key responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end development and maintenance of detailed 3D BIM models for active fire systems (sprinklers, wet/dry risers, gas suppression, VESDA, and fire alarms) using Revit MEP.

Drive multidisciplinary clash detection, spatial coordination, and hard/soft clash resolution using Navisworks Manage alongside Architectural, Structural, and MEP project teams.

Extract accurate 2D shop drawings, builder's work details, high-level schematic diagrams, and as-built BIM models for authority submissions and site installation.

Set up BIM project templates, establish modeling standards in line with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and build custom parametric Revit families for specialized fire protection equipment.

Represent the company in client, consultant, and main contractor BIM coordination meetings to present model updates and maintain clash resolution tracking logs.

Guide site execution teams using coordinated models to verify site clearances, wall/slab openings, and constructability before installation.

About you

3 to 5 years of hands-on BIM modeling and coordination experience in MEP projects, with a strong background in Fire Protection systems.

High proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD (BIM certification is an advantage).

Solid understanding of fire protection system design, spatial clearance rules, pipe routing logic, and standard installation methods.

Familiarity with local BIM submission guidelines, ISO 19650 standards, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
