Job summary

SYNERGEX ENGINEERING SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur seeks a detail-oriented 3D BIM Modeler / Drafter to create, manage, and update accurate BIM models and drawings in collaboration with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure coordination and compliance with Malaysian standards.

The role focuses on developing BIM models in Revit (Architecture/Structure/MEP), extracting 2D drawings, performing clash checks with Navisworks, and maintaining models through the BEP while adhering to CIDB

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Navisworks is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of local Malaysian construction methods, codes, and BEP.
• Strong communication in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models (Architecture, Structure, or MEP) using Autodesk Revit from 2D sketches and CAD drawings.
• Extract 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, sections, and structural details from BIM models for site execution.
• Run clash detection tests with Navisworks and resolve design conflicts with the team.
• Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle per the BEP and QA/QC guidelines.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced 3D BIM Modeler / Drafter to join our project team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and updating highly accurate 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and technical drawings. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project coordination and compliance with Malaysian construction standards.

Key responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D BIM models (Architecture, Structure, or MEP) using Autodesk Revit from 2D sketches, CAD drawings, and architectural/engineering concepts

Extract comprehensive 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, sections, and structural details directly from the BIM models for site execution

Run clash detection tests, identify design conflicts using Autodesk Navisworks, and collaborate with the engineering team to resolve issues before construction

Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP)

Ensure all modeling and drafting work strictly complies with CIDB Malaysia BIM standards, local building codes, and company QA/QC guidelines

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD

Familiarity with Navisworks is highly preferred

Good understanding of local Malaysian construction methods, structural detailing, and authority submission drawing guidelines

Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams

Professional proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu
