This full-time role places you at the forefront of patient care, diagnosis, and treatment. You will maintain accurate medical records, offer preventive health advice, support a multidisciplinary team, and participate in health screening programmes and local initiatives.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Valid medical licence and registration with the Malaysian regulatory body.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and practical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations and examinations to diagnose and treat conditions.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.

• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other professionals for coordinated care.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join PMG Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. in Kota Marudu, Sabah. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients. As a Medical Officer, you will be at the forefront of patient care, delivering general medical services, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals across all age groups. This position is integral to our mission of ensuring accessible and effective healthcare within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient consultations and medical examinations to diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records for all patients seen
• Provide preventative healthcare advice and health education to patients
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Perform minor clinical procedures as required
• Refer patients to specialists when indicated
• Participate in health screening programmes and community health initiatives
• Maintain compliance with medical regulations, ethical standards and workplace health and safety protocols

What we are looking for

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Valid medical licence and registration with the relevant regulatory body (Malaysian Medical Council or equivalent)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
• Excellent clinical knowledge and practical diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in medical record-keeping
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education
• Proficiency in Malay, English and Chinese language
• Prior experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings is preferred
