Job summary

Ye Chiu Group in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance activities and ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment. You will supervise technicians, plan preventive and corrective maintenance, and oversee repairs to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include root cause analysis, CMMS/SAP PM usage, and coordinating with other departments. Familiarity with rotating and static equipment, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a challenging industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to keep machinery safe and reliable.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to ensure machinery and equipment are in safe and reliable working condition.

Lead and coordinate a team of technicians to execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.

Monitor repair progress, repair quality, and maintenance schedules, while analyzing the operational impact of equipment breakdowns and repairs.

Perform machinery troubleshooting, breakdown investigation, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment failures.

Support machinery improvement initiatives by conducting technical research and proposing maintenance, modification, and reliability improvement methods.

Monitor maintenance work progress and ensure assigned maintenance jobs are completed according to schedule.

Familiar with rotating equipment such as pumps and gearboxes, as well as static equipment, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives to minimize breakdowns and improve machinery performance.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.

Required skill(s): able to withstand the bad and critical working environment, good interpersonal and communication skills, AutoCad.

Bilingualisms are advantage for this position because it involves communicating with a China contractor.

Able to work independently.
