Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance/Plant Supervisor to support daily operations and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks. You will coordinate communication between management and engineers, organize technical records, and supervise contractor activities for plant maintenance and repair projects.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in mechanical maintenance, and proficiency with EPICOR and MS Office, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial / manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of plant machinery, maintenance planning, and execution.
• Experience in supervising contractors and managing maintenance activities.
• Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiar with MS Office and maintenance/reporting systems (EPICOR).
• Knowledge of safety practices and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Department Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring maintenance work is completed on time
• To establish communication channel between higher management and engineering technicians.
• Maintain and organize documentation, technical records, and correspondence for all major maintenance activities with contractors, suppliers, and consultants, including daily status reports.
• Plan manpower and supervise contractors for plant maintenance and repair works.
• Prepare and present improvement projects, including CAPEX proposals
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, KAIZEN, and quality programs
• To conduct investigation and report on the conditions of machinery before and after each major improvement project / repair and recommending improvement works to the availability of the plant, machinery and equipment.
• Track maintenance costs and compare actual vs planned performance
• Provide regular maintenance updates using systems like EPICOR and reports
• Lead the team to achieve planned maintenance schedules effectively
