The Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of production machinery, equipment, and systems. The role oversees preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoots technical issues, and leads equipment repairs and improvement projects. The position also supervises and develops maintenance staff, manages spare parts and maintenance costs, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for all machinery, equipment, and systems.
Ensure optimal functioning and minimal downtime of production equipment.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules to maximize operational efficiency.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or technical issues promptly.
Coordinate complex repairs and engage external vendors when necessary.
Provide technical support to the team for resolving critical equipment failures.
Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff and technicians.
Conduct skill development sessions to enhance team capabilities.
Assign tasks and monitor the progress to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
Lead maintenance-related improvement projects, including equipment upgrades, installation, and commissioning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects within timelines and budgets.
Evaluate new technologies and suggest upgrades to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standards.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
Prepare and present reports on equipment performance and maintenance KPIs.
Monitor and control maintenance budgets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
Maintain optimal stock levels of critical spare parts and consumables.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMP) are an advantage.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Hands-on experience with machines, and industrial automation equipment.
Familiarty with maintenance management software will be an advantage.
Knowledge of Matica, Emperor DOD machines, andICS Mailer systems will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Experience in a high-security or card manufacturing environment is a plus.
