Job summary

Ye Chiu Group in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to supervise a team of technicians, oversee electrical maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and ensure safe, reliable operation of all machinery within the plant.

Candidates should hold a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering; be proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D); have basic PLC knowledge; and be capable of working independently with good communication

• Experience with AutoCAD (2D/3D).
• Basic knowledge of PLC.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of technicians in carrying out electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Ensure electrical appliances, machinery and equipment are in safe and proper working condition.
• Monitor maintenance and repair progress to ensure jobs are completed according to schedule.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment and machinery issues and analyze their impact on operations.
• Inspect completed repair work and ensure maintenance quality and reliability.
• Ensure technicians comply with safety procedures and workplace safety requirements.
• Coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities and provide technical guidance to technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair progress and equipment conditions.
• Monitor housekeeping and 5S practices within the maintenance area.
• Prepare daily maintenance/FFR reports and provide updates to management.
• Conduct investigations on electrical equipment failures and prepare technical reports.
• Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for electrical system and equipment improvements.
• Assist in electrical improvement design and implementation.
• Monitor project quality and ensure maintenance/improvement projects meet required standards.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties and projects assigned by the superior.
