Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Manager to plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for production equipment, machinery, and facility systems. You will supervise a team, coordinate with Production, Warehouse, QA, and external vendors, manage spare parts and costs, and drive reliability improvements while ensuring compliance with safety standards and SOPs.

To plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for production equipment, machinery, and facility systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utilities, building infrastructure).
To coordinate and prioritize maintenance work orders, balancing planned PM schedules against breakdown/urgent repairs.
To ensure spare parts, tools, and materials are available and properly managed (inventory, reorder points) to minimize repair delays.
To liaise with Production, Warehouse, QA, and external vendors/contractors to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
To monitor and report on equipment/facility performance metrics (uptime, downtime, repair turnaround).
To supervise and allocate work to the Senior Executive, Supervisor, and maintenance/technical staff.
To train, coach, and evaluate team performance; identify skill gaps and support technical development (e.g. multi-skilling).
To manage staff attendance, shift/on-call coverage, and manpower planning, including contractor coordination for specialized works.
Foster a proactive, safety-conscious, and accountable team culture.
To ensure all maintenance activities comply with company SOPs, safety regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g. OSHA/DOSH, electrical and machinery safety codes, or local equivalent).
To conduct/support safety briefings, risk assessments (e.g. lock-out-tag-out), audits, and incident investigations; drive corrective actions.
To ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials (lubricants, chemicals, e-waste) used in maintenance work.
To ensure statutory inspections and certifications for equipment (e.g. lifting equipment, pressure vessels, electrical installations) are up to date.
To monitor maintenance operating costs (spare parts, labor, contractor, utilities) against budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
To Identify and implement reliability and process improvements (e.g. shift from reactive to preventive/predictive maintenance) to reduce downtime and extend asset life
To Investigate root causes of recurring breakdowns or failures and implement preventive measures
Prepare and present regular reports on equipment/facility performance, maintenance costs, and incidents.
Data analysis and literacy skills to interpret data from maintenance KPIs and trends to conclude a decision-making.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and documentation for audits (internal, customer, or regulatory)
Deputize for the Operations Manager on maintenance matters as required.
Bachelor's Degree in any field; technical certification or qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance/engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
This role requires working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance practices, CMMS(is a plus)
Understanding of production equipment and electrical/mechanical/facility systems; and familiarity with safety regulations and statutory inspection requirements.
Knowledge of reliability‑centered maintenance and root cause analysis is a plus.
