Job summary

FOOD EXCELLENCE SPECIALIST SDN BHD is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician (Snack Plant) to develop blueprints for M&E systems, supervise on-site installations, and run testing and commissioning to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong project management, ability to read technical specs, and risk assessment skills, with cross-functional teamwork across engineering and operations. Local applicants preferred for the Johor area.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Eng.
• Experience in reading technical specifications and risk assessment.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop blueprints and specifications for mechanical (HVAC, piping, lifts) and electrical (lighting, HT/LV distribution, data networks) systems.
• Oversee on-site M&E installations to ensure alignment with contracts, safety standards, and drawings.
• Conduct performance tests on installed systems to verify functionality and compliance before handover.
• Resolve technical issues on-site and address unforeseen challenges that could delay timelines.
• Estimate material and labor costs, review supplier bids, and ensure M&E components meet budget.

Job description

MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (SNACK PLANT)

System Design: Develop blueprints and specifications for mechanical (HVAC, piping, lifts) and electrical (lighting, HT/LV distribution, data networks) systems.

Site Supervision: Oversee on-site M&E installations to ensure they align with engineering contracts, safety standards, and structural drawings.

Testing & Commissioning: Conduct performance tests on installed systems to verify functionality, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance before handover.

Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues on-site and address unforeseen challenges that could delay project timelines.

Budgeting & Procurement: Estimate material and labor costs, review supplier bids, and ensure M&E components meet the project's budget.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Project Management: Strong capability in reading technical specifications, risk assessment, and managing cross-functional teams.
