Job summary

Food Excellence Specialist Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced IT professional to provide end-user support, lead IT staff, and safeguard company data and systems.

You will handle procurement liaison, server/VM maintenance, and ensure minimal downtime across the network infrastructure. The role requires 3+ years of IT experience, 2+ years in a similar role, and strong knowledge of Windows Server, Virtual Machines, and IT security.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT, CS or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar position.
• IT certifications are a plus.
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking and Windows Server.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in user accounts and access management.
• Knowledge of firewalls, Virtual Machines, Microsoft 365, backup solutions and IT security.
• Ability to lead and supervise IT staff.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support and troubleshoot IT hardware, software and system issues.
• Lead and supervise IT support staff, including work allocation and daily task monitoring.
• Maintain company data, systems and IT security while ensuring minimum system downtime.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers and coordinate procurement of IT hardware, software and services.
• Perform updates, maintenance, backup, housekeeping and troubleshooting for Windows Servers and Virtual Machines.
• Set up and maintain desktop PCs, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Manage and maintain internet connectivity, network devices and firewalls.
• Administer user accounts, file services and network access rights.
• Maintain IT asset records and monitor asset movement and assignment.
• Monitor and maintain software licences and IT documentation.
• Assist in IT projects, system implementation, reporting and other IT administrative tasks.
• Support Food Safety Management System requirements, including HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS and HALAL, and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant IT working experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience at a similar position level.

IT-related professional certification will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking and Windows Server.

Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.

Experience in user account and access management.

Knowledge of firewalls, Virtual Machines, Microsoft 365, backup solutions and IT security.

Able to lead and supervise IT support staff.

Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Able to work independently.
