Job summary

Biocon in Malaysia is seeking a diligent Electrical Maintenance Engineer for critical pharma plant systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical faults, install and wire new equipment, and interpret schematics to ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in pharmaceutical or biotech plant mechanical & electrical maintenance.
• Diploma or Degree in engineering.
• Exposure to cleanroom environments and regulated manufacturing setups.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance of electrical panels, motors, lighting systems, and control circuits.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns promptly and restore functionality with minimal downtime.
• Assist in installation and wiring of new equipment, control panels, and electrical systems.
• Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Maintain records of electrical maintenance activities in SAP or CMMS as per cGMP requirements.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and statutory regulations.
• Support calibration and maintenance of electrical instruments and utility systems (HVAC, compressors, boilers).
• Monitor and maintain uninterrupted power supply for critical pharmaceutical operations.
• Suggest improvements for energy efficiency and electrical system reliability.
• Participate in root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective actions.

Ability to work safely with high-voltage equipment and follow lockout/tagout procedures.

Preferred Experience:
