Job summary

Unigrà APAC is seeking a proactive HR Assistant Manager to partner with the HR Manager in driving HR operations, employee relations and compliance at the manufacturing plant in Malaysia. The role combines hands-on execution with operational oversight in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee payroll accuracy, recruitment support, HR reporting and training programs while ensuring statutory compliance and labour law adherence. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2–3 years in a supervisory/Assistant Manager capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and Industrial Relations Act.

Responsibilities

• Report to the HR Manager and support day-to-day HR operations.
• Manage payroll processing in line with Malaysian statutory requirements.
• Coordinate employee relations, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Assist in recruitment, screening, interviewing and onboarding.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics and analytics for management decisions.
• Support compensation, benefits, performance appraisals and training.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal SOPs.
