Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager to support HR functions in a manufacturing setting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role covers recruitment, foreign-worker management, employee relations, payroll coordination, training and development, and HR administration.

The candidate should have a degree or diploma in HR, at least 5 years general HR experience including 2 years in manufacturing, and fluency in English, Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of general HR experience.
• At least 2 years of HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Language proficiency: English, Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Hands-on experience recruiting and onboarding foreign workers.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and industrial relations.
• Familiarity with foreign-worker hostel requirements would be advantageous.
• Able to work in Cheras.

Responsibilities

• Support overall recruitment and manpower planning.
• Manage recruitment and onboarding of local and foreign workers.
• Support employee relations, grievances, counselling and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour legislation and industrial-relations requirements.
• Coordinate foreign-worker accommodation and hostel management, including relevant Act 446 requirements.
• Support payroll administration and ensure accurate salary calculations.
• Monitor working hours, overtime, rest days and public-holiday compliance.
• Coordinate training needs analysis and employee development activities.
• Review HR policies, Employee Handbook and HR documentation.
• Maintain HR records, employee data and documentation required for audits and ISO compliance.
• Support employee welfare, retention and HR improvement initiatives.
