Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager to support HR functions in a manufacturing setting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role covers recruitment, foreign-worker management, employee relations, payroll coordination, training and development, and HR administration.
The candidate should have a degree or diploma in HR, at least 5 years general HR experience including 2 years in manufacturing, and fluency in English, Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager to support the overall HR function within a manufacturing environment.
The position covers recruitment, foreign-worker management, employee relations, labour-law compliance, payroll coordination, training and development, employee welfare and HR administration.
Support overall recruitment and manpower planning.
Manage recruitment and onboarding of local and foreign workers.
Support employee relations, grievances, counselling and disciplinary matters.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour legislation and industrial-relations requirements.
Coordinate foreign-worker accommodation and hostel management, including relevant Act 446 requirements.
Support payroll administration and ensure accurate salary calculations.
Monitor working hours, overtime, rest days and public-holiday compliance.
Coordinate training needs analysis and employee development activities.
Review HR policies, Employee Handbook and HR documentation.
Maintain HR records, employee data and documentation required for audits and ISO compliance.
Support employee welfare, retention and HR improvement initiatives.
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of general HR experience.
At least 2 years of HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
Language proficiency: Able to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia, including communication with employees and management.
Hands‑on experience recruiting and onboarding foreign workers.
Good knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and industrial relations.
Familiarity with foreign‑worker hostel requirements would be advantageous.
Able to work in Cheras.
