Job summary

Upright Talent in Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee broad HR operations and regional APAC initiatives. You will partner with leadership to drive people programs, ensure compliance and deliver efficient HR services.

The role emphasizes union relations, payroll, benefits, recruitment and development, with a clear path for structured career progression in a multinational manufacturing environment and a balanced work week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in Trade Union relations, payroll and recruitment.
• Exposure to APAC regional HR operations is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and industrial relations.
• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Capable of supporting both operational and strategic HR matters.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Manager in overseeing overall HR operations and initiatives.
• Manage Trade Union relations, collective agreements and employee grievances.
• Oversee payroll, compensation and employee benefits administration.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary matters and conflict resolution.
• Lead recruitment, selection and onboarding activities.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and statutory requirements.
• Support HR reporting, performance management and employee development.
• Coordinate regional HR matters and initiatives across APAC.
