Job summary

Nexpipo in Perai, Penang, Malaysia is seeking a proactive Sales Engineer to promote renewable energy solutions and related products. The role combines technical knowledge with sales and business development to identify opportunities and support project-based sales.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in engineering, 2+ years in sales, and is comfortable presenting technical solutions, preparing quotations, and visiting customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in sales, business development, or related field.
• Knowledge of solar inverter systems, EV chargers, energy storage advantageous.
• Willing to travel to Perai, Penang and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell the company's products, services, and solutions to existing and prospective customers to achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and business partners.
• Identify and develop new sales leads, explore market opportunities, and recommend suitable technical solutions based on customer requirements.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and product updates for customers and business partners.
• Respond to sales enquiries, prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and follow up closely to secure orders.
• Visit potential customers, consultants, and project stakeholders to identify new projects and promote the company's products for project specifications and inclusion in BOQ.
• Develop new market territories and identify opportunities within renewable energy and related industries.
• Plan and coordinate marketing events, product briefings, and promotional activities in collaboration with product suppliers and principals.
• Work closely with internal teams and product suppliers to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and project specifications.
